INGREDIENTS |

6 tbsp (3/4 stick) Butter
1/2 cup Onion, chopped
1/2 cup Celery, chopped
2 pkgs Fresh Gourmet Garden Herb Premium Croutons
(crumbled pea size)
1 cup Fresh Gourmet Dried & Sweet Cranberries
2 tbsp Sage, crumbled
1 tsp Thyme, chopped
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1-1/2 cups Chicken Stock |

DIRECTIONS |

Sauté onion and celery in butter. Add cranberries, sage, thyme, salt, pepper and croutons, tossing lightly to blend. Add stock, stirring gently.
STUFFING THE BIRD
Stuff into poultry before roasting (do not over–stuff). Two 5 oz. packages of Fresh Gourmet. Garden Herb Premium Croutons makes 8 servings, enough to stuff a 6–8 pound turkey. To stuff a 12–16 pound turkey, use four 5 oz. packages of croutons and double recipe.
CASSEROLE PREP
Preheat oven to 350°F. Follow directions above, placing stuffing in a 2–quart casserole dish. Cover and bake for 15 minutes. Bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes to brown. Fluff with fork and serve. |
